I am delighted to be debating the relativisation of the Holocaust at the Battle of Ideas in London on Saturday 18 October. The session will discuss whether the Holocaust is better seen as specifically aimed at Jews or part of a wider tendency towards barbarism.

Three other panellists have been announced so far. Naomi Gryn is a writer and filmmaker. Samuel Rubinstein is a postgraduate historian and writer who is doing a PhD on nineteenth-century German intellectual history. Jake Wallis Simons, a writer and journalist, has a new book coming out, Never Again: How the West betrayed the Jews and itself, in October. He is also about to launch a new podcast, The Brink, with Andrew Fox, a former parachute regiment officer.

If additional panellists are added I will announce them in due course.

Of course it is well worth attending the whole Battle of Ideas conference weekend. Details are available HERE
